eden product love: May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon

Wow……Where does one even begin to express their love for a product? Texture? Color? Package? Effects? The Blue Cocoon truly has it all.

A Glorious Balm to oil moisturizer with the ability to transform the most normal to troubled skin into a beautiful, bright, and clear complexion!

This waterless and waxless balm melts directly into skin upon contact to drive in the most trans-formative ingredients into skin leaving it soothed and hydrated beyond comprehension.

Heavy amounts of Blue Tansy combined with an array of equally impressive oils (Camellia, Myrrh, Frankincense, Marula just to name drop a few) give this wonder its intense blue hue.

Around the shop this has quickly risen to quite of few of your favorite eden teams top shelfies. It seems like collectively we’ve all experienced the benefits of this balm. Spanning every facet of skin (from normal/sensitive/oily/rough) WE ARE HOOKED!!!

Stop in experience and let us rave to you about how much we love May Lindstrom and her beautiful products!

Sunburn SchmunBurn

We all know what time it is!

Here are a few products we personally use

to help when you have already been struck

with the burn.

Bioderma ABC Micellaire Wipes/Solution:

Cleaning a sunburn can be a true pain, but these two keep it easy/painless/refreshing. The wipes make a perfect touch up for sunscreen!

Poppy and Someday Gypsy Rose Toner:

We use this as a prep step before adding moisture back into stressed skin. Rose Hydrosol really penetrates deep while giving a boost of added nutrients. Throw in the fridge for an added cool factor.

Sunpotion Shea Butter:

The true Mother Moisture!!!!! This stuff is no joke. If you’re cool with the extra step of breaking this down, it will quickly melt away your burn in no time!

Fresh Rose face mask / Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask:

For those of you with some extra time to treat. These two masks both utilize a cooling gel formula to sooth irritation and deliver high boosts of hydration. Well worth the added wait.

There you have it! We truly hope no one has to result to these added treatments, BUT it is Iowa and you feel how hot it is today!!!!

We have you covered!

The holidays are here, and this weekend is about to get a little crazy at the shopping malls with insane hours and door-buster deals. This is a time that’s always left us feeling conflicted. Sure, “Black Friday” and “Small Business Saturday” mean more sales for us but is that really what the Holidays are about? We’re doing things differently this year at eden and participating in #goodkarmaisthenewblackfriday this weekend.

If you have some shopping you’d like to do with us we will be donating 10% of all purchases from Friday 11/25 -Monday 11/28 to Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS), an amazing local charity that meets the critical needs of the community by providing a continuum of quality programs designed to keep children safe and families together.

SOIL + TOIL trunk show

Join us for a SOIL + TOIL trunk show this Sunday, August 21st 12-4 pm

Soil + Toil Ceramics was designed and created by Paige Stewart.
Paige grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She carried her midwestern heart with her as she studied Art and Psychology at Western State University in Gunnison, Colorado. She moved to Los Angeles on a whim and with the wind in 2012 and is so grateful to be in a city where she can allow herself to follow the path of her creativity which has moved from drawing, writing, painting, dancing, and found a home in ceramics.

eden takes Chicago!

We’re packing up for a few days for a little 3 day summer retreat with our friends from Kiehl’s in the Windy City!
Yes, eden will be CLOSED Monday, July 25th-Wednesday, July 27th.

We recently discovered that of the 85 independent stores that carry Kiehl’s, little Miss eden is in the top 15 in the nation!  This is all thanks to you and your support.  We’re truly honored and want to keep that success going.
Some of you may already know, I had to go through quite a bit of red tape to get approval to carry Kiehl’s.  My first attempt ended with a rejection letter, saying they weren’t interested in distributing their line in Iowa.  I didn’t understand and felt defeated at the time, but I’m not one to take no for an answer so easily.  So the next year I tried again.  Six months of conversations followed and my request was approved at last.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.  I realize this is going to be a bit of an inconvenience, however, in our 13 years in business, this is our first eden family road trip.  I think we may be overdue.   – Jen

And we do.
Thanks Kiehl’s for the sweet reminder.

the eden family

We’ll be participating in #goodkarmaisthenewblackfriday this year, where we’ll be donating 10% of our gross sales from Friday 11/27-Monday 11/30 to Above and Beyond Cancer, an amazing local charity that’s mission is to elevate the lives of those touched by cancer, to create a healthier world.
The weekend normally known as Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday has always been a time that has left us feeling conflicted.  Sure, more sales for us but is that really what the Holidays are about?
The Wild Unknown started this wonderful movement and we encourage our fellow makers and brick and mortars to join too.  Head to their website www.thewildunknown.com to learn more and help us save the Holiday Spirit.
